Jim Phillips

Jim Phillips holds a BS in Agricultural Engineering Technology from Oregon State University and
a MS in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University. He served 3 years in the Peace
Corps In Sierra Leone from 78 through 81 and helped form the non profit Sierra Leone Village
Partnerships to help rebuild the country after the civil war.
He spent 15 years in corporate America and in 2008 began a career primarily as a Monitoring
and Evaluation Specialist for USAID Agricultural projects. He has travelled to many countries
but has the most experience in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Malawi and Sierra Leone.

Jim has evaluated seed, nutrition, UN and Nutrition programs around the world.  He serves as WHES’ agricultural expert
