• The World Food Programme.

• The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, including the Global Information and Early Warning System (GIEWS) page.

• The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees web site. 

• InterAction (the association of U.S. private voluntary organizations) web site, especially the Disaster Response page. You can identify organizations working in a particular location for contributions at this site, as well.

• The United States Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. 

• The Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance and the Food for Peace Office (the food aid office) of the United States Agency for International Development.

• Also useful are web search engines. The best we have found for this purpose is Google. For recent news use Google News, typing in either your specific search phrases or such general ones as hunger, world hunger, world poverty....
