Antonio Gayoso Antonio Gayoso is an agricultural
economist with long experience in foreign assistance
programs and microfinance. He is currently an adjunct
professor of development policy and practice, and of
microfinance, at the Elliott School of International
Affairs, George Washington University. He also taught
microfinance at the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Mr. Gayoso spent most of his professional career at the US
Agency for International Development and, later, as
Washington Executive Director of the World Council of Credit
Unions. He is also an economic analyst in a round table
broadcast to Latin America thrice a week by the Voice of
America. Mr. Gayoso is past president of the Association for
the Study of the Cuban Economy and past chair of the Board
of the World Hunger Education Service.
