Debt, Poor Countries and Poor People

Developing country governments, many not governments of the people, but rather governments that oppress or ignore substantial numbers of their citizens, have since the 1960's borrowed very large amounts of money internationally in the name of development of their countries.  Enough development has not occurred in most cases to pay back the loans.  Thus countries are faced with a debt crisis, and lenders of that debt are faced with a debt repayment crisis.
